Marketing Coordinator
About Craniologie
Craniologie is a growing specialty retailer in the heart of the Colorado mountains. We outfit skiers, riders, and cyclists across our stores in Vail, Beaver Creek, Breckenridge, and Frisco, and we serve customers nationwide through our online shop. We carry the brands people in the outdoor and ski/bike world trust, and we pair that gear with the kind of in-person expertise you can only get from a true specialty shop.
As we grow our store footprint and our e-commerce business, we are building a marketing function that can keep pace. That is where this role comes in.
The Role
We are looking for a Marketing Coordinator who wants to touch every part of marketing. This is a generalist position built for someone early in their marketing career who is hungry to learn, takes pride in clean execution, and wants to grow fast.
You will work directly with our CMO as the execution arm of the marketing function. The CMO sets strategy and direction. You bring it to life across social, content, email, e-commerce, influencer, events, and in-store. If you want a single role where you get hands-on experience with the full marketing toolkit instead of being boxed into one channel, this is it.
This is also a genuine way into the outdoor, ski, and bike industry. You will learn the brands, the seasons, the customer, and the rhythm of specialty retail from the inside. Willingness to learn matters more to us than years of experience.
What You’ll Do
Your work will span the full mix. On any given week you might:
- Build and schedule social media content across our channels, and help us show up consistently for each of our mountain communities.
- Support influencer and ambassador outreach, from finding the right people to coordinating product and tracking what they post.
- Write and lay out content: blog posts, product highlights, store updates, and seasonal campaigns.
- Help manage the e-commerce store, including product merchandising, promotions, and keeping the site fresh as seasons and inventory shift.
- Build and send email campaigns and newsletters, and help grow and segment our list.
- Keep our brand consistent and sharp across everything, from a social post to an in-store sign.
- Plan and run in-store and community events, demos, and seasonal launches across our four locations.
- Support in-store and retail marketing, including signage, displays, and local promotions that drive foot traffic.
- Help track results across channels so we know what is working and what to do more of.
Who You Are
- Highly motivated to grow your skill set and build a real marketing career.
- Proud of your work. You sweat the details and you do not ship things half-done.
- A team player. You work closely with the operations team, store managers, and company leadership, and you make those relationships easy.
- Confident enough to make decisions, and self-aware enough to know when to ask for support or clarity.
- A problem solver. When something gets in the way, you look for the path through it.
- Flexible. You can move between a social calendar, an event setup, and an email blast in the same day.
- Organized. You can track a lot of moving pieces without dropping any.
- A learner. You ask questions, take feedback well, and pick up new tools quickly.
- Genuinely interested in the outdoor, ski, and bike world, or excited to get deep into it.
Location & Travel
Ideally you live in Summit County or the Vail Valley, or you are planning to move there. If you are based in the Denver metro area, you should be willing and able to make frequent trips to our store locations and to support events near them, such as the GoPro Mountain Games in the summer and resort-area events through the winter season.
Nice to Have (Not Required)
None of these are dealbreakers. We will teach the right person. But it helps if you bring some of:
- Hands-on experience with social platforms, email tools, or e-commerce platforms like Shopify.
- Comfort with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive, Gmail) for everyday work.
- AI-curious. You look for ways to use AI tools to work faster and smarter, or you are eager to start.
- Basic comfort with content tools (Canva, light photo or video editing) or willingness to learn fast.
- A background in retail, hospitality, or the outdoor industry.
- Education in marketing is ideal, though relevant work experience counts just as much.
- Passion for skiing and/or snowboarding, and mountain biking and/or cycling, is a real bonus.
Why This Role
- You get exposure to the entire marketing function instead of one narrow lane.
- You work directly with a CMO who will invest in developing you.
- You break into the outdoor, ski, and bike industry, which is hard to enter from the outside.
- You grow with a retailer that is actively expanding its stores and its online business.
