We're not a rental kiosk. Craniologie is a full-service helmet and goggle retailer with four Colorado mountain locations. We run e-bike rentals because our customers asked for them, and we do it the same way we do everything — with new equipment, real trail advice, and staff who actually ride.
Every bike in our fleet is inspected and charged before your rental. If you've never ridden an e-bike, our team walks you through the assist levels in the parking lot before you head out. You'll be comfortable on the trail within five minutes.
Book online in two minutes, pick up in 15, ride for the day. Both Frisco and Breckenridge locations put you at a trailhead immediately. No loading bikes on a car. No shuttle logistics.
Every trail below is paved or well-maintained and accessible from either our Frisco or Breckenridge store. Many connect the two.

Choose based on where you're staying. If you're in Frisco, Silverthorne, Dillon, or Keystone, the Frisco location is the most convenient. If you're in Breckenridge, rent there. Both locations are connected by the Tenmile Recpath, so riders from either store can meet in the middle or ride point-to-point with two cars.
Bikes are rented from and returned to the same location. The Tenmile Recpath connects Frisco and Breckenridge in 9 miles, so many groups ride one way with two cars positioned at each end. Call 970-368-6330 to discuss logistics if you need to arrange something specific.
Yes — Summit County trails are flat, paved, and car-free, making them ideal for families. Both locations carry three child attachment options: a full caged toddler seat, a handlebar grip seat for older kids, and a pull-along trailer for small children. The e-bike motor makes pulling a trailer uphill effortless.
The pedal-assist motor handles the elevation gain — you control how much assist you want and the bike does the climbing. Most people who have never ridden an e-bike feel comfortable within five minutes. The trails themselves are flat to gently rolling. Altitude affects your aerobic system, but e-biking is far less taxing than hiking or unassisted cycling at 9,000+ feet.
Online booking is strongly recommended, especially on summer weekends and holidays. Both Frisco and Breckenridge locations sell out regularly from late June through Labor Day. Book online to guarantee your bikes are clean, charged, and ready when you walk in the door.
Every rental at both locations includes the e-bike, a properly fitted helmet, a bike lock, and personalized trail recommendations from staff. Child attachment options are available at no extra charge when added at booking.
